Keith Meyers Obituary

Keith Edward Meyers

August 23, 1950 -

October 20, 2024

Keith Meyers, aged 74, passed away on October 20, 2024, in Nashville, TN. Born on August 23, 1950, Keith spent his formative years in Kingsport, TN, graduating from Dobyns-Bennett High School before attending East Tennessee State University.

Keith proudly served in the Army National Guard, dedicating himself to the values of duty and community that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, he found joy in his retirement, especially in the company of his family and friends. Keith lived his later years in Brentwood, TN, where he played an active role in raising his three beloved grandchildren.

Keith's greatest pride and joy was his daughters, Jordan and Sarah, and his grandchildren, Savannah, Landon, and Sydney, who were the light of his life. Keith also loved to spend time with his brothers Gary and Carl and best friend Frankie, a round of golf, shooting basketball, telling a great story, enjoying a meal at Cracker Barrel and staying as active as possible. His biggest legacy is the care and devotion he showed to everyone around him. Keith's heart and generosity knew no bounds.

Keith is survived by his daughters, Jordan Meyers of Johnson City, TN, and Sarah (Kenny) Scannell of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren, Savannah, Landon, and Sydney Scannell; brothers, Gary (Trish) Meyers of Georgetown, KY, and Carl Meyers of Johnson City, TN; nephew, Billy (Alynia) Meyers of Georgetown, KY; Great Nieces Abigail and Arielle and Aunt, Martine (John) Haynes of Kingsport, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Virgil Meyers, and his nephew, Blake Meyers.

A service to celebrate Keith's life will be held at Mountain View United Methodist Church, 4405 Orebank Rd, Kingsport, TN, on November 9th at 11 am.

I miss you, Mr. Keith. You were such a fabulous person and I absolutely adore the way that you loved and cared for your beautiful children. I know that you and my biological father are probably looking down on us. I'm truly proud to call your amazing daughter Jordan, my very best friend. May peace and eternal blessings shine upon you.
