KINGSPORT - Larkin Clinton Ketron, 92, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday, November 7, 2025, at The Village at Allendale.
He was born July 21, 1933, in Sullivan County, TN to the late Lonnie and Alice Edwards Ketron.
Larkin was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother who made family his main priority.
He was a committed Christian and member of Bible Way Baptist Church.
Larkin retired as a foreman with A.F.G. following over thirty years of service.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Larkin was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Hurst Ketron; son, David Clinton Ketron; second wife, Margaret Ketron; sister, Shelby Ketron; brothers, Lyman Ketron, Alfred Ketron, Phil Ketron, and Don Ketron.
Those left to cherish Larkin's memory are his daughters, U.S. Representative Diana Harshbarger (Bob), and Deborah Rowe; stepson, David Stepp (Kimberly); stepdaughters, Kathy Earwood (Harold), and Karen Harless; grandchildren, State Senator Bobby Harshbarger (Erin), Brandon Willis, and Brittany McNeal (Jeremy); five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Hawkins, sister-in-law, Sue Ketron; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rick Vannoy, and Chaplain David Kaffee officiating. His daughter, Diana Harshbarger, will deliver the eulogy.
Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of Everlasting Life. Military honors will be accorded by The American Legion Hammond Posts #3/#265. Serving as pallbearers, Brandon Willis, Jeremy McNeal, Bobby Harshbarger, L.T. Ketron, Landon Ketron, Jared Ketron, and Matt Ketron.
