Linda June Hamilton October 7, 1940- May 15, 2024
SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Linda June Hamilton has ended her one woman show.
Hopefully you were one of the lucky ones to catch a performance.
Her Cabaret opened October 7th, 1940 in Kingsport Tennessee with the final curtain call on May 15th, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her Show was full of Drama and Comedy, with two marriages (not worth mentioning) and four children: Marden and Adam (who are still kicking), Martin and Dana who are no longer with us.
During the off hours of her show, Linda worked as a legal secretary and later in life as a general secretary for the LDS Church News. Song and Dance were a big part of her life, with performances in shows like: Godspell, Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Arsenic and Old Lace and many others. In the 1990's, Linda had a short stint singing at The Stardust Hotel in Las Vegas.
After retirement, Linda moved to Los Angeles to spread her show with her grandkids: Samantha, Zachary and Caleb Brinton.
Linda later returned her show back to Salt Lake City to be closer to her son, Adam.
Some of her reviews over the years include the following:
Kingsport Times-News quote "A sweet southern girl with a song in her heart."
Deseret News quote "Always Entertaining" and "There were times, I was on the edge of my seat!"
Church News quote " She kept us laughing" and "She was President Monson's favorite Church News employee!"
