GATE CITY - Linda Holbrook, 70, Gate City, VA passed away, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at her residence.

Linda was born in Sullivan County, TN on July 2, 1954, and was the daughter of the late Kelly Culbertson and Louella (McConnell) Shipley.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Kenneth Wayne Holbrook, and stepfather, James Shipley preceded her in death.

Linda lived in the midway community all her life. She was employed at Kroger Deli and was a caregiver to her mother for many years. She enjoyed spending time at home with family and her beloved pets. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Holbrook, and half-brother, Chester Culbertson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00p.m. Monday, February 24, 2025, at the Lafayette/Gillenwater Cemetery, Gate City, VA with Larry Beavers officiating.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:45p.m., for the graveside service.

The family would like to extend special thanks to her neighbor, Terry Jennings, for his kindness.
