Linda Kilgore Obituary

FORT BLACKMORE, VA - Linda Sue Kilgore, age 76, of Fort Blackmore, VA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
Born into a military family, Linda had the unique experience of graduating from high school in Spain while her father was stationed overseas. She later earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University (ETSU), pursuing a lifelong passion for caring for others. Linda dedicated her career to nursing, a field she deeply loved. After retiring, she found joy in tending to her flowers, cultivating beauty in her garden as she had done throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, B.C. and Lois (Fraysier) Brickey of Fort Blackmore, VA.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Tina Carter of Gate City, VA; her son, Robert Craft and wife Susan of Palo Alto, CA; her brother, Ronnie Brickey and wife Carolyn of Front Royal, VA; and her cherished grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob, and Madi Carter.
In keeping with Linda's wishes, services will be private.

I worked many years with Linda at HVMC in CCU/PCCU. Iwill never forget the time that Mia16 months old) and I went to Myrtle Beach wit your Mom, you and Robert , Tina. We had a good time but Mia and I left a day or so early and dtive home to visit with our best friends who dropped in to spendcthe night with us on their way home ftm Florida to Ohio. My deepest sympathies for the loss of your Mother. Prayers for comfort and peace.
