KINGSPORT - Lloyd Jones, age 73 of Kingsport, TN, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Lloyd was born on February 6, 1951, in Kingsport, TN to Charles and Frances Jones. Lloyd worked at Eastman Chemical and retired in 2005. On October 10, 1969, Lloyd married his most cherished friend, Judy Starnes, and after 55 years of a beautiful marriage, she survives.
Lloyd loved his family, and he loved restoring old vehicles with his son. His favorite vehicles to restore were 1955 Chevy trucks.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lonnie Jones; and two sisters, Linda Jones and Deborah Manis. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Judy Starnes Jones; son, Jeff Jones and wife Kerrie; one brother; one sister; special sister-in-law, Jean Starnes; dear friends and pastor, Eddie and Gail Whitley; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 12:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Eddie Whitley officiating. Lloyd's family and friends will be serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:50 am.
