Tim Bradshaw Obituary

Tim D. Bradshaw

January 3, 2026

KINGSPORT - Tim D. Bradshaw (57) of Kingsport died on January 3, 2026 at Holston Valley Medical Center's Hospice Care after a valorous struggle with an aggressive cancer.

Tim is survived by his husband, John Bellamy, and their two sons, Rhys A. Bradshaw-Bellamy and Rowan A. Bradshaw-Bellamy; his mother, Elaine Bradshaw; his sister, Lois Williams (Jamie); and his brother, Brian Bradshaw, all of Church Hill, Tennessee, along with several aunts and uncles. Tim's father, Clarence Earl Bradshaw, preceded him in death in 2018 in Richmond, Virginia.

Tim graduated from Volunteer High School and earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education from East Tennessee State University. Tim taught elementary school, served as a compliance auditor, worked in design retail, and was last self-employed from the home. Tim held an ardent enthusiasm for the arts, reading, writing, travel, and antiques.

Volunteering and servant leadership defined Tim's ethos. He was generous with his time and talents in charitable, civic, and religious endeavors, serving on the boards of several civic and arts organizations, most recently as the President of the Friends of Allandale.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee were especially important to Tim and his family. Tim and John celebrated the witnessing and blessing of their lifelong covenant at Saint Paul's on September 21, 2013. They were later married in New York, New York.

At Saint Paul's, Tim served on the Vestry, and as Lector, Eucharistic Minister, Verger, and Crucifer, among other roles. Tim chaired the Saint Paul's Day School and Kindergarten Board. He also served on multiple committees for the parish, including, most recently, the Stewardship Committee.

Tim's eagerness to serve was evident even near the end of his life. Tim supported the work of the Episcopal Diocese of East Tennessee by serving as a delegate to several annual conventions and was a member of the Bishop and Council committee at the time of his death.

Tim was zealously devoted to John and their sons. He spent countless hours volunteering at Saint Paul's Day School and Kindergarten while their boys were there, and in the years following. He also devoted numerous hours to Saint Dominic Catholic School where their boys attended after Saint Paul's. Until his final days, Tim never missed a party, fund raiser, cross country event, recital, orchestra performance, or soccer game.

A service for the Burial of the Dead will take place at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Kingsport on Saturday, January 24th at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends in Berndt Hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, Tim's family suggests donations to St. Paul's Episcopal Church at 161 East Ravine Road, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660 or to the Friends of Allandale at 4444 West Stone Drive, Kingsport, Tennessee 37660. Alternatively, Tim's family encourages you to invite a friend or neighbor to a meal, share a bottle of wine, or donate to a food pantry to confirm your love and respect for that friend or neighbor.
