Lois Lawson Large entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Lois was born March 8, 1924, in Knoxville, TN to the late Harold and Bonnie Lawson.
After meeting the love of her life, Charles Large, Jr., they were married and settled in Kingsport, TN. Together, they raised three boys, Charles, Larry, and Terry.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Large, Jr.; son, Charles Large; great-granddaughter, Leslie Sue Large; sisters, Rena Newton, Mary Burnette and Lucy Peltier; and her brother, Harold "Buddy" Lawson.
Those left to cherish Lois' memory are sons, Larry Large (Pam), Terry Large (Sunny); daughter-in-law, Phyllis Large; granddaughters, Chere Flanigan, Kristie Moore; grandsons, Anthony Large and Andrew Large; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 on Thursday, May 25, 2023, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Todd Monroe officiating.
A Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park in the Garden of the Good Shepherd. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of Preston Place Suites for their compassionate care of Lois. She loved them all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jericho Shrine Center, 1100 Jericho Dr., Kingsport, TN 37660.

The Large family will be in my thought and prayers. Lois was a funny, loving lady I enjoyed being around as long ago neighbor and member of St. Matthew UMC.
