November 19, 2024

KINGSPORT - Lora Mae Allen of Kingsport Tennessee died unexpectedly on November 19, 2024 at Holston Valley Hospital & Medical Center.

Lora was born on November 7, 1963 in Polk County, Tennessee. She moved to Kingsport in her early 20's. Lora had many friends and was well known at the Jan Mar Restaurant.

The past 15 years Lora could be found helping out at Jeff's Pipe and Muffler. She kept the coffee made for the customers and was always ready to share her faith. She was loved by everyone that knew her and will be greatly missed.

Lora was preceeded in death by her mother, Merilyne Schaleer; sister, Marlene Reed; and brother, Robert "Bobby" Allen.

Lora is survived by her sister, Gail Hill; brother, Aaron Allen; special friends, Jeff and Tina Harr and Gary Johnson.

Thank You to Lora's many friends who have reached out with a kind word and a sweet story.

all the time when i was young i used to come stay the night with her and do our nails play the game and just sit and chill miss you ma´am

I remember her when she worked at jan Mars. I used to go in there all the time she was such a kind, sweet lady. She was always so nice to everybody and willing to help anyone.
