Marie Jones Obituary
KINGSPORT - Marie Hewitt Jones, 92, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2023. She resided in Kingsport with her husband of 69 years, Malcolm Jones. Prior to raising her family, she was employed as a chemist at Eastman Kodak. She faithfully attended Waverly Road Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Stella Hewitt.
Marie is survived by her husband, Malcolm McKinley Jones; children: Lisa Marie Jones of Grand Bay, AL, Malcolm Timothy Jones of Kingsport, and Alice Suzanne Jones (Jeff Zoller) of Jasper, TN; grandchildren: Maggie Jones, Ben Jones, Torin Dunn, Kiley Dunn, Jacob Zoller, and Thomas Zoller; and her cousin Nancy Boswell of Kingston, TN.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waverly Road Presbyterian Church or The Jane Goodall Institute.
