I loved this woman w my whole heart and I was blessed enuf that she let me call her mama#2 since my high school days!! Mary will forever be my mama#2!! There's forever gonna be a void in this world w/out her in it. She was the best in every way!! To Corrie, Shane and Nathan, I have no words, bt am sending constant and continued hugs(air hugs bc the weather) and prayers to you for peace and comfort. I know you cant be ok right now and I just want you to know how much I love you 3, and how much I loved your mom and how she will always have a special place in my heart!!

Cousins, we were so sorry to hear of the passing of Mary. We remember her with fondness. Her laugh was so unforgettable. Wish we were closer so we could be there for all of you. Much love.

My deepest condolences to Mary's family. In school Mary managed to touch the lives of the great majority of us students. And as I read these comments to her I see where Mary threw a very large stone into the pool of life and created very large ripples of love, joy and happiness that span out and touched the lives of many many people, family, friends and co-workers. I only regret not keeping in touch with Mary after leaving Norton but it seems her life was full of love and loved ones. Her life should be an example to all others. I will continue praying for her family. Mary is free of pain and experiencing the Love of GOD around her as she walks the streets of gold. Prayers...

I worked with Mary for several years. She was a loving and compassionate nurse and kind to all of her co-workers. My deepest sympathy to all of her family and friends. She is resting in the arms of our Lord.

Mary was a life long friend. If we could all be more like Mary, this world would be a beautiful place. Peace to her family during this time. My love to all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mary's family and loved ones. The Sturgills go back to school days with Mary, at least, and serving the Lord together at Central Freewill Baptist Church. We attended church there with Mary and her children through the early 90s. Mary was an amazing lady of grace and strength, and she was kind to everyone. May her legacy of faith and love live on.
