Mary Marks Obituary

Mary Harris Marks, 92, of Santa Barbara CA, formerly Chicago, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Melvin L. Marks, and parents Mortimer and Ethel Harris, all of Chicago. She is survived by sons William H. Marks (Alice) of Los Angeles and Thomas R. Marks (Kathy) of Tucson, and daughter Patricia Gartner (Jonathan) of Santa Barbara, along with grandchildren Matthew, Edward, Eleanor, Ben, and Simon, and step-grandchildren Hannah, Sydney, Daniel, and Andrew. She lived a long and happy life, grateful to the end for her family and her many friends of all ages and places. According to her wishes, no service is planned, but donations in her name may be sent to Planned Parenthood of the Central Coast, 518 Garden Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
