CHURCH HILL-Mattie Joyce Everhart, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

Joyce was born in Rogersville, Tennessee, on April 11, 1930, to her parents, Hobart and Maxie Knight. She was the oldest of six girls. She graduated from Rogersville High School and worked at Eastman until she met the love of her life, Kenneth Marvin Everhart. They were married and moved to Church Hill, Tennessee, where they lived until their passing. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she attended until her health would not allow.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Everhart; grandchild, Chad Everhart; parents, Hobart and Maxie Knight; sisters, Johnnie Shipley, Frankie Allen, Thelma Cross, and Ina Allen.

She is survived by her sons, Dale (Peggy) Everhart and Ronnie (Sherry) Everhart; grandchildren, Kendra (Reggie) Jackson, Pamela (Daniel) Collins, Charlie (Katie) Everhart, and Rusty Everhart; great-grandchildren, Bailee and Waylon Benton, Destiny, Karson, and Kinlee Collins, Ali and Olivia Jenki, and Maddie and Maven Everhart; sister, Norma Seaver; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

The family would like to say a special thanks to HMG's Dr. John Kliesch and nurses, Brittany and Laura, for their care and kindness.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Parrott officiating. A graveside service will follow in procession to Church Hill Memory Gardens.
