Melvin with his partners Mac and Richard and wife Joyce created New Dominion School, truly the most unique and successful treatment program in the country. He and the wilderness school deeply impacted hundreds of troubled teens as well as many staff. It was his legacy. He impacted my life, believed in me, gave me opportunity. He was a unique man, understood human needs, and dedicated himself to a noble cause. I greatly admired and respected him and was very fond of him, his wife and son, Bobby.
Rest in peace, Melvin.
