Michael Jones Obituary
KINGSPORT - Michael Landon Jones, 80, of Kingsport, TN, passed away at home on Monday, April 3, 2023.
Michael retired from Eastman Kodak in Tennessee and spent his retirement playing golf, working part-time at Golf Unlimited and as a ranger at Warrior's Path Golf Course with his friend Vernon Smith. He loved Tennessee football, basketball, and Greeneville High School football. Michael was a 1960 graduate of Ketron High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He was an involved grandfather and was always around when anyone needed him.
Michael is preceded in death by, his parents, Henry and Alice Jones, Sister Lisa Gail Jones.
His son survives him; Michael (Mikey) L Jones, Jr.; Grandsons, Mason and Maddox; and Granddaughter, Dakota Vaiese; Brother, Dickie Jones (wife Tana); Sister, Sally Smith (husband Curt); and several nieces and nephews.
The family is planning to honor Michael's memory at a later date.
