ROGERSVILLE - Mildred June Fletcher Mullins, age 89, of Rogersville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 19, 2024, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was a long-time member of North Fork Missionary Baptist Church.
Mildred was a 1954 graduate of Lynn View High School in Kingsport, Tennessee, and later graduated from Whitney's Business School, also in Kingsport, Tennessee. Mildred was employed at Tennessee Eastman before becoming a full-time homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Mark Samuel "Frog" Mullins and Randy Lee Mullins; parents, Mack and Rosalee Mull Fletcher; brothers, Delmar Fletcher (Joyce), Donald Fletcher (JoAnn), and infant Dudley Fletcher; sister, Edith Fletcher Jessee (Neal); and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Henry "H.S." Samuel Mullins Jr., of the home; daughter, Kristi June Mullins of the home; beloved grandchildren, Brady Biggs and Katie Biggs of Rogersville, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, DeLisa Mullins, her son, Logan Tuell (Keri-Ann), and granddaughter, Sydney of Bristol, Virginia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend and caretaker, Debra Bledsoe.
The family would like to express their immense gratitude to Amedisys Hospice of Morristown, Tennessee, and specifically, nurse Callie for her steadfast dedication and servant's heart.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home and anytime at the home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Rev. Chip McClain officiating; graveside service will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kingsport, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Chad Christian, Tim Morgan, Weston Morgan, Eddie Mowell, Marty Mowell, and Logan Tuell. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Mowell, Ryman Morgan, and Jeff Bradshaw.
