Rosalee "Ferrell" Greene
January 23, 2026
MOORESBURG - 2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Mooresburg: Rosalee "Ferrell" Greene, age 93, of Mooresburg, on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the age of 93 the Lord said Rosie lets go home and rest, because anyone who knew her, they knew she was always on the move. She loved working in her yard, her flower beds, gardening, canning, quilting, her gospel music, and most of all cooking her Big Sunday Dinners every Sunday for her family. She was saved at a young age at Slate Hill Church. She Married the love of her life Gen Greene on December 4, 1951, they were happily married for 62 years until he was called home on July 12, 2014 we can't imagine the reunion they have had. They loved farming side by side their whole marriage. In those 62 years along came four daughters who they would have done anything for.four sons-in-law, who were sons not in laws. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Laura Ferrell; sisters, Mabel Collins, Joyce McGinnis; brothers, Clarence, Carl and Joe.
To cherish all those memories are Joyce (Don) Brewer, Pep (Laddie) Gordon, Tammy (James) Soper, Becky (Harvey) LaFollette. Then came those grandbabies, theres no way to measure the love they had for them. The love they will carry forever. Kenny (Tonya) Brewer, Kelly (Will) Mills, Barrett (Ashlyn) Gordon, Brad Gordon, Meagen (Michael) Mauk, Courtney (Chase) Johnson, Emma Arnold, Dustin (Amy) LaFollette, Jake (Miranda) LaFollette. And then those great-grandbabies, and that love just got a little deeper and even bigger, McKenzie, Mason Brewer, Hailey, Ty Dillon, Hannah (Gavin) Cole Gordon, Clay, Bronson and Beau Arnold, Evie Johnson, Cyrus LaFollette, Klaus and Hartlee LaFollette; brothers, Robert and Jack; sister, Barbara Ferguson whom she call daily; several nieces and nephews. The tears are flowing and the heartache is real but we get comfort in knowing. Rev. 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be anymore pain; for the former things are passed away. So mom and daddy rest up and this big old family you left behind, will all be reunited and we never have to say goodbye again. Thank you Lord for blessing us with the best mom and daddy, nanny and papa that showed us what love is.
Rosalee's request was to have a graveside service only.
