Myrtle Rogers Obituary

MOUNT CARMEL – Myrtle Rogers, 89, passed away peacefully on March 17, at Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was born on April 27, 1933, in Sneedville, TN to Milum Greene, Sr. and Ethel Vaughn Greene.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jim Rogers; grandson, Darin Potter; granddaughter Heather Rogers; sisters, Ann Stapleton and Midge Singleton; brothers, Tommy Greene, and Randall Pete Greene.

Left behind are her daughter, Wanda Rogers Potter; son, Tony Rogers (Toni Greer); her niece, Amy Shipley (Jim); daughter-in-law, Cathy Rogers; siblings, Milum (Blue) Greene Jr. (Shirley), Juanita Tobin, and Iva Shore (Dennis), grandchildren, Justin Potter, Jimmy Rogers, and Brandon Rogers; great grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Bryson Rogers, Delaney Rogers, Lillie Rogers, Layney Potter, and Abby Potter.

Myrtle's wishes were to be cremated and to have no funeral service.

The Rogers family will receive family and friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Myrtle's house in Mount Carmel.
