Nalin Shah Obituary

KINGSPORT - Dr. Nalin G. Shah, 86, of Kingsport, TN, passed away after a brief illness on December 23, 2024. He was a man of faith in his Lord Jesus Christ and a strong family man who worked hard to provide for his family. He loved and cherished his late wife Peggy Shah and was a wonderful father to his late son, Dr. Chirag Shah, his daughter, Neesha N. Shah, and his son and extended family through marriage, Cliff Franklin, daughter-in-law Tamra Franklin, and granddaughter Sommer Franklin.
He was a brilliant and beloved Medical Doctor, and a philanthropist who gave to many charities throughout his life. He founded a charitable medical clinic in India, ministered through Christian teaching television programs, and shared his Christian faith through his website, www.victoriouschristianlife.org. He worked as a Pathologist in the Norton and Wise, Virginia hospitals for over 20 years, then he founded Status Allergy Clinic in Kingsport, TN. He practiced at Status Allergy Clinic for 32 years until his retirement earlier this year.
He will be deeply missed by his family and community.
Dr. Shah was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy S. Shah; son, Dr. Chirag N. Shah; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie Franklin and Dilipkumar Shah.
He is survived by his daughter, Neesha Shah and husband Brandon Thompson; son, Cliff Franklin and wife Tamra Franklin; granddaughter, Sommer Franklin; sisters, Malti Trivedi and husband Parimal, and Mrudula D Shah; brother, Dr. Jyotindra and his wife Dr. Kirtida Shah; nieces and nephews, Darshan Trivedi and wife Dr. Swarna Trivedi, Rupal Shah, Dr. Shalin Shah and wife Avni, Sapan Shah, and Sajani Parikh and her husband, Kunhal; and many great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
Burial will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.

Dr. Shah was one of my passengers to and from tri cities airport. He was a true warrior for the Lord and he always encouraged me to continually walk with the Lord .
Dr. Shah and he lovely wife were so beautiful and caring folks. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul.
