KINGSPORT - Nina Lorraine Jones, 85, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Friday, February 23, 2024.
Nina was born February 18, 1939, in Sullivan County, TN to the late James and Lavada Jones.
She was a friendly, jovial lady who was never afraid to speak her mind.
Nina was a committed Christian and life-long member of Lynn Garden Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was a 1960 graduate of Lynn View High School and retired from Scissors Edge Beauty Salon.
Nina enjoyed cross stitch, hand work, and watching Western movies.
In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles W. Jones, and Lloyd W. Jones.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters-in-law, Cheree Jones and Patsy Jones; several nieces and nephews; many friends; special friends, Jan and Allen Lester, and Harold Horton.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 29, 2024, 1:00-2:00 pm at Lynn Garden Baptist Church.
Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Rick Meade and Pastor Carl Strickler officiating. Music will be under the direction of Kevin Odum.
Graveside Service will be private. Those serving as honorary pallbearers, Dought Dade, Bob Dade, Sandy Dade, Allen Lester, Harold Horton, Joe Stallard, and Allen Rhoten.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lynn Garden Baptist Church, 301 May Avenue, Kingsport, TN 37665.
