Opal Wray Blevins

January 29, 1924 -

June 3, 2025

BLUFF CITY - Opal Wray Blevins, 101, of Bluff City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the American House, Bristol.

Opal was born on January 29, 1924, in Kingsport, to the late Ocia Harkleroad Lewis and Orville Lewis.

She was employed at Bristol Memorial Hospital as a posting clerk and Bill Gatton Chevrolet for many years. Opal was a longtime member of Kinsley United Methodist Church and also attended Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church in Bluff City.

In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her sister, Marietta Lewis Ketron; and special cousins, Arbuta Lee Cain and Donna Lee Taylor.

Left to cherish Opal's memory are her half-sister, Melinda Willis; cousins, Teresa McConnell and Christie Taylor; and many friends.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, in the Garden of the Last Supper at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Ray Amos, Sr. officiating.

The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to Opal's very special neighbors, Mike and Donna Tallman, and Amedisys Hospice for the love, care, and compassion that was provided to Opal.
