Phyllis Landwerth Obituary
Phyllis Charlene (Young) Landwerth went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2023, at the age of 70. Phyllis passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She fought a long hard battle with cancer and liver disease.
Phyllis was born in Kingsport, TN on May 5, 1953, to Charles and Vivian Young. She was raised here and attended Sullivan High School. She loved to take care of her grandchildren and loved to travel. Her special place was Charleston, SC. Phyllis was a caregiver for 30 years. She made many good friends over the years that she still kept in contact with - Marti, Jane, and Tish. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin. She especially loved her entire family.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vivian Young and a great-grandchild, Braylenn Grace.
Phyllis is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenny Landwerth; son, Rick Burns; daughter, Brandy Landwerth; grandchildren, Amanda Manis (Dustin), Taylor Burns (Luis), Tanner Horton, Cassy Frazier; great-grandchildren, Mallory, Maxx, Myles, Leo, Haiden, Eli; sister, Delores Hunt (Steve); niece, Jennifer Blakley (Tony); special cousin, Barry Jones (Terri).
In honor of Phyllis, memorial contributions in the name of her great-granddaughter, Braylenn Grace, may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Trinity Memorial Centers is honored to serve the Lamberth family.
