Randy Aden Obituary

Randy Ray Aden, age 64, of Paragould, passed away on February 11, 2023, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Randy was born on January 3, 1959, to the late Donald Ray Aden and Joyce Aretta (Taylor) Aden in Paragould.

Randy spent most of his life serving his community. He was a founding member of the Greene County Rescue Squad and was Paragould's longest serving City Council Member, representing his ward for over 27 years. He was also a long-standing Main Street Paragould board member.

Randy loved playing country music on his steel guitar and was recently nominated for this year's Best Steel/Dobro Player in Arkansas by the Arkansas Country Music Awards. In addition to his musical talent, he also enjoyed photography and hunting.

Randy was a member of Second Walnut Church of Christ. He was a very humble man who loved the Lord, his friends, and family deeply. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Joyce Aden; maternal grandparents, Jake Taylor and Gladis Taylor; paternal grandparents, Charlie Aden and Nora Aden; and son, Charlie Lee Carter.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Carolyn Aden of the home; daughter, Shannon Hardin and husband, Gary, of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Tosha Hopper and Logan Hardin both of Walnut Ridge; great-grandchildren, Greyson Hopper, Gannon Hopper, and Beckham Hopper all of Walnut Ridge; and many other cousins, family members, and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mitchell Funeral Home, 1520 Highway 49 North, Paragould, Arkansas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, at the Collins Theater with Gary Creemens officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Logan Hardin, Shane Stovall, Jim Howard, Donnie McKinny, Terry Rogers, and Steve Goins. Serving as honorary pallbearers are all the friends Randy has played with over the years.
