GRAY - Reba E. Buckingham Leedy, 96, Gray, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital.
Reba was born in Washington County and was a daughter of the late Guy and Vernie Jenkins Buckingham.
She was a member of Hales Chapel Christian Church. Reba enjoyed watching sports, especially the Tennessee Volunteers. She loved shopping and dining out with her friends, but most of all, she cherished and adored spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Leedy; son, Clinton E. Leedy; and sister, Neva Morrison.
Survivors include her son Guy Leedy; granddaughter, Austin Marie Sorrels (Dustin); great grandson, Dashiell Monroe Sorrels; great granddaughter, Madeleine Renée Sorrels; sister, Helen Shipley; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Reba will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, January 9, 2026, at Hales Chapel Christian Church, 280 Hales Chapel Rd. Johnson City, TN 37615 with Lamar Garrison, officiating. The graveside committal service will follow at Hales Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Buckingham, James Gresham, Rick Kilby, Jim Slagle, Bruce Wine, and Steve Wine.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 pm at the church.
In-lieu-of flowers the family asks donations be made to Hales Chapel Christian Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care team at Franklin Woods Community Hospital and all of Reba's friends and family for their support during this difficult time.
