GATE CITY, VA - Revonda C. Watts, FNP, age 50 of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 while in the comfort of her home following a long battle with MS. Revonda was the daughter of the late Donnie and Carolyn Faye Hammonds Spivey. She was employed with Mountain States Health Alliance and a member of Moore's Memorial Baptist Church. Revonda was a loving wife and mother. She always had a smile on her face.
Revonda is survived by her husband Nick Watts; three sons, Brett Watts (Lindsey), Zachary Chapman and Luke Chapman; two brothers, Gerald Spivey (Lisa) and Darrin Spivey (Annisa); niece, Krystal Spivey; nephews, Andy Spivey, Adam Spivey and Brian Spivey.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 1, 2023 at Colonial Funeral Home from 5 – 7 pm. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Alan Moser and Pastor Jimmy Hammonds officiating. Eulogy will be delivered by her son, Luke Chapman. Music will be provided by the Hammonds Family. Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Spivey Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 11 AM to go in precession to the cemetery.
Brian Spivey, Andy Spivey, Adam Spivey, Jacob Mullins, Alex Quillen and Trip Norton will serve as pallbearers.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the nursing staff of Holston Valley Medical Center, Indian Path Hospital and Elite Hospice.
