DUFFIELD, VA - Ricky Earl Owens, 56, Duffield, VA, passed away, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at his residence.
Ricky was born on January 29, 1968, in Sullivan County, TN, to Linda Faye (Sanders) Owens, and the late Earl Ralph Owens.
In addition to his father, his grandfather, James Ira Lane, and grandmother, Beulah Dockery Lane precede him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Linda Lane Sanders (Glen Lee); son, Jordan Owens (Chandler Sparks); sister, Amber Sanders Egan (Edgar); niece, Hannah Grace Egan; special friend, Melissa Dingus, and children, Rylan Hillman, Whitney Hillman, and Lexi Gillenwater; special family friends, Kedrick, and Carl Gibson; and special dog, June Bug.
Ricky's wishes were to be cremated; a celebration of life will be conducted Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the Gate City Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel to share memories of Ricky.

I am so very sorry for the loss of such a kind man as Ricky,every time I saw Ricky he always had a big smile on his face, just like his mom Linda Faye. Our prayers are with your family Linda Faye, and may God comfort all of you at this very sad time. He was a good man.And I love all your family.
