KINGSPORT - Robert Wayne Willis, 71, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 15, 2023.
He was born September 4, 1951, in Kingsport, to the late Henry and Lori McMillan Willis.
Robert loved everyone, always had a smile, and never met a stranger.
In addition to Robert's parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carl Willis, Janice Wells, Dreama Boyd, Paul Willis and Billy Steefle; granddaughter, Avery Upchurch; grandson, Juan Tasher; nephew, James Woods.
Those left to cherish Robert's memory are his wife of fifty years, Nancy Light Willis; children, Melissa Willis, Marty Willis and Robbie Willis; grandchildren, Kelly (Gage); Scanlan, Alisha Robinson, Jasmine Davenport, Celina Tauscher and Allen Tauscher; great-grandchildren, Lyric, Laveah, Leana, Addy, Zoey, Bjorn and Delilah; siblings, Sally Price, Johnny Willis and Coleman Willis; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 19, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2:00 pm with William R. Sumpter, Jr. officiating.
Graveside Service will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
