Rose Caron "Jamie" Covert age 67, surrendered her earthly battles on Friday, February 9th, 2024.
Rose was born May 9, 1956. She has traveled the country for decades looking for her next adventures, before finding home in Kingsport TN.
Rose often called "Jamie" was a lifelong advocate for others who were less fortunate for a variety of reasons. She was particularly passionate about helping individuals with disabilities and providing services and seeking support for their families. Rose participated in many fellowships and has been lifelong friends with Bill W. And Jimmy K.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Ranell Covert; husband, Larry Gaston.
She was survived by her daughter, Lena Gaston; mother, Rachel Floureen Tatinkin; brothers, Ranell Covert, Scott Covert; sister, Sharon Grainer; several nieces and nephews.
Family is what you make it to be, Rose didn't always need blood to make kinship's; her "adopted" family includes Amber Williams (children, Kaleb, Kassie, Camdon, Cloie Whiten), Megan Shanks, Therese Zimm, and Andrew Thomson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17th, from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Centers. A Celebration of her Life will follow.
