Rose Spriggs Obituary
July 18, 2025
KINGSPORT - Rose Marie "Poochie" Spriggs, 87, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at NHC Healthcare.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Johnny Ray Spriggs; son, Johnny Ray Spriggs II; and sisters, Mary Lynn "Mimi" Ball, Martha Jane Buckner and Margaret Anne Ball.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Eddie Spriggs (Karen); grandchildren, Ty Spriggs (Kayla) and Tori Spriggs; great-grandchildren, Willow Rose and Maiana Sage Spriggs; brother, Daniel Lee Ball; sisters, Gail Ball Rich (Keith) and Barbara Ball Forsyth; nieces, nephews and cousins, Danny, David, Fred and Mike Ball, Mark and Chris Buckner, and Beau Rich and Jenny Rich Seibers; and very special friend, Linda Gray; Teaching family from Jackson Elementary School; and Delta sisters.
The family will receive friends from 4pm – 6pm on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A service will follow at 6pm with Pastor Scott Kinnick officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11:00am at East Lawn Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny and Fred Ball, Ben, Chris, and Mark Buckner, Beau Rich and David Seibers.
