KINGSPORT - On April 11, 1947, Sandra Kay Dixon Thomas was born at home in Tell City, Indiana, to Irene Rose Dixon and Cletus E Dixon. The first of five to be born in this family. Sandy went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 18th, 2026 in Kingsport, Tennessee. Sandy was a Christian and loved the Lord. She graduated high school in Ozark, AL in 1965.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Kimberly Marie Bobbitt, and one sister, Marian Nelson.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Richard N Thomas of Kingsport, TN; her son, David R. Thomas (Becky) of Bristol, TN; her grandsons, Tyler (Courtney) and Tanner of Bristol, TN; her grandchildren, Heather Jones (Justin) and Zachary Miller and four great grandchildren of Conway, SC; her sisters, Pat Lane and Jayne Dixon of Kingsport, TN; and her brother, Don Dixon of Salt Lake City, UT.

Although limited by health, Sandy always enjoyed anything outdoors as well as family vacations. Sandy was a devoted Christian and loved to praise the Lord.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses, staff, and caregivers of both Holston Rehab and Amedisys Hospice for their excellent care and continued support.

Friends and Family are invited to Trinity Memorial Centers on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM and Service will be held at 6:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held the following day, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at East Lawn Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.
