KINGSPORT - Sara Beth McCall, 58, Kingsport, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 8, 2023.
Sara flew to be with God because she was an Angel, an Angel on earth who gave her heart to Jesus and anyone she could help. Struggles…, she had more than we all know, but God has finally freed her to rest in that beautiful garden. Sara was a mother, grandmother, sister and best friend, and if you knew her, you loved her, and she loved you. Dislikes were her pain and sorrows, but she loved unconditionally with her whole heart and soul.
Sara was born at Ft. Hood in Killeen, TX, was raised in Mt. Holly, NC, and primarily Johnson City, TN. She was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Stone.
Sara is survived by her only son, Rusty Thomas and wife Emily, two grandchildren, McKinley and Rhett Thomas, and her true friend, Patricia Thomas, all of GA; sisters, Robin McCall, NC, Lisa Arp, Kingsport, Samantha Herrin, NC, Crystal Vitale, TN; her only brother, Brother Herrin, TN, who she named; half-sister, Cassandra McCall, NC, her best brother-in-law, David Arp, Kingsport, who she was so grateful for; adored nieces and nephews, Daniel, Christopher and Amber McCall, Joshua and Jacob Arp, Kristina Collins, Rick, Justin and Lori Cutshaw, Dalton Carter, DJ Watson, Tiffany Hodge, Summer Burrow, Ashley and Michael Herrin, Katlyn Spears, Matthew Vitale, ; and her furry child, Monkey Butt.
The funeral service for Sara will be conducted Friday, December 15, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Mike Bays officiating.
The graveside committal service will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jonesborough. Pallbearers will be selected from family members.
The family will receive friends Friday prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
The family would appreciate donations in-lieu-of flowers be made to the funeral home to assist with Sara's final expenses.
