KINGSPORT - Shirley Faye Crawford 84, of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2024. She was born in Church Hill, TN to the late Clarence and Lola Lloyd. Shirley was a devoted pastor's wife of 31 years as well a home maker for her family. She was an excellent seamstress as well as an outstanding cook. Together they pastored Manville Holiness Church until 1987 and Victory Apostolic until 2010. Shirley assisted her husband in his ministry by learning to play the guitar, piano, and organ. Rev. Ellis Crawford was legally blind so she served as his eyes during his 45 years of ministry. She was currently a member of Souls Harbor Church in Bristol, VA. She was a prayer warrior for both her family and friends. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Ellis Crawford; brothers, Paul, Bill (W.G.), Wayne, Jimmy, and Jerry Lloyd; sister, Emma Anderson.

Survivors include her daughter, Joy Peters and husband Dwight; son, Rev. David Crawford and wife Donna; grandchildren, Anisa Kilgore and husband Alex, Seth Crawford and wife Shayla, Danielle Peters; great-grandchildren, Judah Kilgore, Landry and Carson Crawford; special niece and her family, Courtney, Ryleigh, Journie, Jasper, and Lola Anzalone; along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Robert Osborne and Rev. David Crawford officiating. Music will be provided by The Dugger's and Alex Kilgore.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Seth Crawford, Alex Kilgore, Andrew Crawford, Daniel Lloyd, Josh Williams, Ricky Price, Darrell Dalton, and Joe Ketron. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am to go in procession to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to defer funeral expenses.
