BLOUNTVILLE - Stanley "Allen" Fish, Jr. of Blountville, TN left his earthly body to join his Savior on his 67th birthday, Sunday, August 11th, 2024, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Allen was born August 11th, 1957, in Killeen, TX to Stanley Allen Fish, Sr. and his wife Flora. He was raised in Kingsport, TN, graduating from Central High School in 1975. Allen worked for Eastman Chemical Company for 40 years, retiring in 2015.

Preceded in death by his mother, Flora Jean Fish, Allen is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Paula; son Hunter Fish; daughter Mary Elizabeth Phelps and husband, Ben; grandsons Peyton and Jack Phelps; father, Stanley Allen Fish, Sr.; sister Barbara Goforth, and husband Joe; sister Linda Mann, and husband Kenneth; step-sons Russell and Brian Evans; and adopted sister and friend, Tina Crawford.

Allen's family meant the world to him, and he was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, and papaw. He served his community, first as a volunteer fireman and assistant chief at the Warrior's Path Volunteer Fire Department, and as a board member of the Colonial Heights chapter of Meals on Wheels after retirement. He served on the board of the Cherokee Rod and Gun Club and was an active member and past president of the Outdoorsmen, Inc. club. Allen was a follower of Jesus Christ, and a member of Discovery Church in Bristol, TN.

Allen's family would like to give a special thank you to all the medical staff that helped him during his battle, especially the nursing staff at NHC Kingsport and his two favorite nurses, Whitney Austin and Stephanie "Cornbread" Leake, who treated him as their own family.

A celebration of Allen's life will be held Saturday, August 17th at the Outdoorsmen Club located at 4535 HWY 11 W, Blountville, TN. The family will receive friends from 3 pm to 5 pm, with a memorial service commencing at 5 pm.

I am sorry my friend and deer hunting buddy has passed away. Many years ago Allen and Stanley would make the annual trip to West Tennessee to hunt on my farm. One of the best things about opening day was them coming. One year I had a fine buck, that I bow and muzzleloader hunted for days, without ever getting a shot. Opening day I told Stanley to hunt my stand as I was changing stands, needless to say about 8 that morning he walked out in front of Stanley. Guess he still hanging on his wall. Was indeed bless to have friends like them. I send my deepest condolences and prayers to all of the family.

I always wanted a big brother like Allen when I was growing up. I loved the way he teased with Linda and Barbara. I always had such a good time at the lake on his boat and he helped teach me to waterski and kneeboard. Good memories.

Linda and I loved to sit and play cards and play boardgames with Allen and Paula. I was honored to be a part of their wedding. Allen was so happy he had found the love of his life!
