CHURCH HILL - Susan A Woods, born October 1, 1930, went to heaven on Thursday, December 7, 2023. She died peacefully in her sleep at home with the blessed help from Amedisys Hospice and various medical assistants. Susan retired from Eastman Chemical Company after many years of service.
She was proceeded in death by J R Woods, her loving husband for many years and her parents Charlie and Mary Arnold, 4 brothers Kenneth, Charles, Joe, and Jim, and 2 sisters, Lorene and Geneva.
She is survived by Ruth Holtsclaw, Johnny and Carolyn Arnold and Jack and Mary Arnold.
A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home, 320 Grandview Street Church Hill, TN 37642. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Susan Arnold officiating. A graveside service will follow in procession to Church Hill Memory Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Arnold, Allen Arnold, Hunter Arnold, J C Herron, Terry Herron, and Phil Lane.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 2025 Meadowview Parkway, suite 101, Kingsport, TN. 37660.
