Virginia Davis Obituary

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalm 23:6

KINGSPORT - Virginia Ruth Davis, 83, of Kingsport, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Born on February 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Clyde and Nell Davis, Virginia was a loyal preacher's wife, a talented baker, and she would always wear a sweater (even if it was 100 degrees).

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Rev. Leroy Davis; granddaughter, Madison Davis; brothers, Jim and Tommy Davis; sister, Sandy Shepherd; and nephews, Rodney and Kenny Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Hite (Tom); son, Mark Davis (Michelle); grandchildren, Jordan Hite, Allie Hite and Annah Medley; great-grandchildren, Sara Lau, Denver Hite and Lilah Medley.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at 11:00am at Holston View Cemetery.

Melinda,I´m so glad that I got to be with your Momma a lot In 2010, she was always So Kind and Sweet to me.
