Wanda Lee Moore August 4, 2024
KINGSPORT - Wanda Lee Moore, 92, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Bristol Regional Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Scott County, VA to the late Floyd and Rebecca Sanders. Wanda was a devoted caregiver and worked as a nursing assistant for many years in addition to caring for her family members. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Libertyville, Illinois and attended First Baptist Church of Blountville after moving back to East Tennessee. Wanda was a loving mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Moore; brothers, Jimmy and H.C. Sanders; sister, June Price.
Survivors include her son, Scott Moore; brother, Bill Sanders; sisters, Helen Blevins and husband Jack, Doris Miller; sister-in-law, Doris Palmer; along with a host of friends and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Rev. Jack Edwards officiating.
A graveside service will follow at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
