BLOUNTVILLE - William James Hutchins, 74, of Blountville, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Billy was born on January 25, 1950, in Sullivan County, to the late Benjamin and Nancy Hutchins. He was humble and kind, had a big heart, and always had a big smile and a thumbs up. Billy was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. He operated heavy equipment for many years and enjoyed puzzles and model cars.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy Smith and Connie Hutchins.

Left to cherish Billy's memory are his daughters, Kimberly Feathers (Tony) and Angela Hoskins; grandchildren, Michael Feathers, Logan Couch (Taylor), Connor Couch, Meredith Lee (Derek), and Malari Hoskins (Zach); great-grandchildren, Avery Couch and Ashton Witt Royster; sister, Clara Necessary; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be no formal service held at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made in Billy's honor to the United Way of Kingsport by visiting uwaykpt.org

The family would like to thank the staff of Crown Cypress Assisted Living for the wonderful care and compassion provided to both Billy and the family.
