Wilma Dawson Obituary

Wilma Jean (Barnes) Dawson, passed away, Saturday, December 23, 2023 after a period of declining health. She was born on December 28, 1928. Jean was a lifelong resident of Fall Branch; a member of the Fall Branch United Methodist Church for approximately 90 years; a dedicated volunteer for several civic and church organizations in her community; and a great mother, homemaker and friend to her family and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Zane Lamar Dawson; granddaughter, Anna Dawson Williams; three sisters; two brothers; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons, Keith (Pat), Jim (Betty Jean), Rick (Lynn); two grandsons; three granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

The family are following her wishes of having only a graveside ceremony. Burial will be Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00pm at Fall Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Dr. David Tulley officiating.
