BLOUNTVILLE - Wilma (II Mom) Johnson Minnick, 89, of Blountville, TN, went to her heavenly home on Friday, October 13, 2023, with her family by her side.
Wilma was born and raised in the Robinette Valley of Scott County, Virginia, where she lived until she was married to her husband, Edward Minnick. The couple moved to Kingsport, Tennessee, where they raised four children. Wilma was employed by Sears for many years in Kingsport. She was a partner in Mountain Memories and Collectibles and II Mom's Cafe for years. Wilma was loved and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lillian Johnson; husband, Edward Minnick; first grandson, Shaun Minnick; special cousin, J.C. Johnson
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Teresa (Terri) Minnick; sons, Eddie, Keith (Pam), and Dwight (Rhonda) Minnick; grandchildren, Chance Minnick (Alice Cupp), C.J. Minnick (Mattea), Kayla Broadwater (Jamie), Brandon and Kristen Minnick; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Aaron Minnick, Sophia Malcolm (Mason), J.J. and Parker Cupp, Ava Osborne, Toby, Breydan and Owen Broadwater, Charlie Minnick, Ayden and Lily Minnick; five great-great grandchildren; special cousin, Betty Horton; special friends, Deena and Jason Moore, Barbara Grizzle, Kara and Joey Pippin
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 PM on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Trinity Memorial Centers, 1221 Stewball Circle, Kingsport, Tennessee. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastors Jane Lambert and Jackie Flanery officiating. A graveside committal service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Kingsport, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons.
