Ann Eleanor Feliu, born in Chicago in 1927, passed away in Kingsport February 15, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Gerard (Jerry) Feliu, her partner in every season of life.

Ann grew up in Chicago. She was an avid swimmer who, presumably unbeknownst to her parents, used to leap from rock pilings into the water along the Lake Michigan shore. She fell in love and married Jerry. After a short stint in New York City, they moved to the Chicago suburbs to raise their children. Ann and Jerry moved to Kingsport 32 years ago to be close to their grandchildren - and to sons Mike and Jerry, who operated Rush Street Restaurant for 43 years. They were frequently seen at their favorite table visiting with friends and patrons.

Ann and Jerry were members of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, where she found friendship, purpose, and a spiritual home which sustained her throughout her years in Kingsport. For the past 9 1/2 years, she was a resident of Asbury Place, a senior living community in Kingsport where she made many cherished friends.

She is survived by her children Mike, Tom, and Jerry Feliu; beloved daughters-in-law Theresa, Barbara, and Kathy; grandchildren Jenny, Andy, Michael, Katie and Emma; and great-grandchildren Luke, Ben, and Sylvia, each of whom she adored and encouraged in her own thoughtful way.

Ann will be remembered for her kindness, her intelligence, dry wit and wonderful sense of humor. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and quiet strength, and she will be forever missed by her family and all who knew her.

There will be a memorial at St. Michael's at a future date.
