KINGSPORT - David Wayne Hite, 68, of Kingsport passed away at his home on April 1, 2026.
David was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on October 29, 1957, to the late Bobby and Martha Hite.
David was a member of Rock Springs Methodist Church. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company after 30+ years. David was known for his great sense of humor, who was fiercely loyal to his friends and family. He was an avid sports fan. David loved fishing and belonged to the Eastman Bass Fishing Club and Fishers of Men Fishing Club. David even made his own fishing lures. He loved fixing people as well as things. David was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish David's memory are his loving wife, Sharon; sons, Joshua Hite, Jacob Hite (Lacy); grandchildren, Scarlett Hite, and Victor Hite; brother, Scott Hite; sister Barbara Ketron. He also had many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, at Rock Springs Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow with pastors, Harry Layell, Ronnie Ledford, Chuck Helvey and Jacob Hite officiating.
The care of David Wayne Hite and his family have been entrusted to the staff of Oak Hill Funeral & Cremation Services.
