Dennis Price Obituary

Pastor Dennis Francis Price

SURGPOINSVILLE - Pastor Dennis Francis Price, of Surgoinsville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service to others. Dennis devoted his life to sharing the message of Jesus Christ and was known by many as a faithful pastor, a loving husband, and a compassionate friend to all who knew him.Throughout his life and ministry, Dennis had a deep passion for sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he met. Whether preaching from the pulpit, praying with someone in need, or offering encouragement in everyday conversations, he faithfully lived out his calling to serve God and others. His words brought hope, comfort, and guidance to many, and his life reflected the faith he so boldly proclaimed. Dennis was also a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 70 years, Carol Kersey Price. Their marriage was built on faith, love, and a shared commitment to serving God and caring for others. Together they built a life centered around family, ministry, and helping those in need. Carol stood faithfully beside Dennis throughout his years of ministry, and their partnership was a testament to the strength of their love and their faith in Christ. Dennis had a heart for people and a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. His kindness, prayers, and encouragement touched countless lives throughout the years. Many will remember him not only for the sermons he preached but also for the way he lived out the message of Christ daily. He was preceded in death by siblings J.C. Price, Norris Price, and Minnie Ruth Allen.

Pastor Dennis Francis Price will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Carol Price; his children, Jerry Price and wife Jacki, and Patti Davis and husband Ron; and his grandchildren, Crysti Hawkins and husband Greg, Dustin Bowling and wife Barbara, and Dennis Bowling and wife Julia. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald Price and William Price. Dennis is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Kealan Belcher, Kole Bowling, Lauryn Caldwell, TJ Noe, Casey Noe, Dennis Bowling, Dorian Bowling, Dexter Bowling, Damian Bowling, and Taylor DeMoss; and his great-great-grandchildren: Kylan Belcher, Emma Noe, and Arthas and Chloe DeMoss.

He will be deeply missed by his family, his church community, and the many friends whose lives were blessed by knowing him. While his passing leaves a great void, those who loved him find comfort in the promise of eternal life that he so faithfully shared with others.

His legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
