Dorothy Stallard Obituary
NICKELSVILLE - Dorothy Helen Stallard, 89, Nickelsville, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Dorothy was born March 4, 1936, in Nickelsville, VA, and was the daughter of the late Ivyl and Nannie Castle Meade.
Dorothy was a member of Culbertson's Chapel Methodist Church, and she worked many years at Scott Farmers Cooperation.
In addition to her parents, her sisters, Margaret Rose and Beulah Fuller; brother, Earnie Meade; and nephews, Johnny Fuller, Timmy Stallard, and Bill Meade preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Mary (Roger) Addington and Bernice (Jim) Melton; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Meade and Florence Stallard; nieces and nephews, Patty (Eddie) Smith, Mitzi (Paul) Sturgill, Brad (Pam) Addington, Craig (Regina) Meade, Scott (Nissa) Melton, Jessie (Lee) Bowser, Beth (Bill) Hall, Janice (Roger) Houck, and Tommy Stallard.
The family will receive friends from 11-12p.m., Friday. January 23, 2026, at the Gate City Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 12:00p.m., in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Rance Edwards and nephew, Scott Melton officiating. Music will be provided by Rob Patterson.
