Harold C. Robinette May 30, 2024
BLOUNTVILLE - Harold C. Robinette, 80, of Blountville, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 30, 2024, at Bristol Regional Medical Center due to cardiac arrest. Harold was born in Hawkins County and lived in Kingsport for most of his life. He graduated from Sullivan High School, class of 1961. Harold moved to Union, SC, where he owned and operated Unique Style Shop. Upon returning to Kingsport, he drove for Mason Dixon Trucking Company until opening Robinette Successful Images, where he did hair, makeup, and photography for 40 plus years. He had a variety of accomplishments and businesses including Robinette's BBQ and Robinette's Bushhogging Services throughout the Tri-cities. As a hairstylist and photographer, he was a graduate of Kenneth Shuler Barber College, Pivot Point International, Evanston, IL, Christine Valmy of New York, NY, International School for Makeup, and New York Institute of Photography. He was on file with the Guinness Book of World Records for achieving front covers for national and international magazines using clients as models.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Robinette; children, Tammy Burgess, Jimmy Robinette and wife Clara, Carmen Brooks and husband Trevor, and Amber Hofer and husband Matthew; grandchildren, Shane Burgess, Breanna Robinette, Caitlin Robinette, Greyson Hofer, Marley Brooks, and Memphis Hofer; several great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow.
