Kenneth D. Keith

November 11, 1929 -

March 28, 2025

BLOUNTVILLE - Kenneth D. Keith, 95, Blountville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025. D was born in Bluff City on November 11, 1929; he was one of four siblings. He was a graduate of Holston High School, class of 1947. D joined the Air Force after high school, where he was stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. After his time in the service, he studied at Steed College of Technology in Johnson City, earning his bachelor's in accounting, later earning his CPA. Kenneth worked for many firms, ultimately retiring from Defense Contract Audit Agency.

He was a dedicated member of NAA, never missing a meeting in sixty years. Upon his retirement he continued to work as a CPA, opening his own business, as his passion was working. With a profound interest in genealogy, D authored his own book: "The Life and Lineage of Kenneth D Keith". He was extremely proud of his lineage, most notably the four generations of first-born sons within his family. He was a man of many trades; he both designed and worked to build his family's home in Blountville.

D was a member of the Jericho Lodge and Bristol Rotary Club. He was a lifelong member of Wheeler United Methodist Church. Family was the most important part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Kenneth and Mary Fulton Barnes Keith; siblings, Nancy Poe, George Keith, and Lorraine Taylor.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 74 years, Margaret Garland Keith; children, Karen France (Craig), Kenneth D. Keith Jr. (Jamie) and Kevin Dean Keith; grandchildren, Jacob France, Jacqueline Porter, Kelsey Keith, Jonathan Keith, Zachary Keith and Katie Keith; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
