KINGSPORT - Lorraine Genile Younce Sensabaugh, age 88, of Kingsport, went to her heavenly home September 28 at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 Years, Billy Sensabaugh, her parents, Winnie and Barney Younce, two sisters, Lillian Rhea and Corrine Lawing, and four brothers, Monroe, Robert, Barney Jr. and Gene Younce.
Lorraine loved her God and was a member of Orebank Missionary Baptist Church where she participated in the Senior Citizens and Hospitality groups for many years. She was a wonderful cook, and her birthday cakes were always requested for family parties. Lorraine enjoyed listening to gospel music and sung along to her favorites. She was an accomplished gardener and had beautiful flowers at her house. She loved her family and prayed daily for their wellbeing.
She is survived by three daughters, Rhonda (Bobby) Watlington, LaDonna (Mark) Heard, Myra (Todd) Little and one son Greg Sensabaugh (Deb). She has six grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff at Brookdale and Smokey Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their love and care for Lorraine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Orebank Missionary Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 am-1 pm with the service to follow at Orebank Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Park following the service.
East Lawn Funeral Home is serving the Sensabaugh family.

I lived near Lorraine on Pinecone Circle for several years before moving to Johnson City, we used to walk every day together and took our grandson to Fun Fest activities. Will miss her deeply. my prayers to the family, May she RIP.
