KINGSPORT - Alma "Louise" Bishop, 78, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, March 9, 2025. She was born October 2, 1946. She was born in Scott County, VA and lived there until moving to Kingsport, TN more than 33 years ago. Louise retired from General Shale after 35 years of employment. She loved the Lord, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert & Virginia Graham; three brothers, Walter, Robert, and James; sister, Audrey; and son-in-law, Larry Easley.

Louise is survived by her husband of 62 years, Glen "Sonny" Bishop; daughters, Orlinda Easley, Penny Dingus, Glenna Wright and husband Jerry; four grandchildren, Lauren, Brittany, Justin, Terence and wife Haley; three great-grandchildren, Zaviery, Colt, and Jaxon; three sisters, Mary Bright, Teresa Christian and husband Jeff, Janet McGuire and husband Myron; three brothers, Gary Graham and wife Teresa, Mike Graham and wife Ruthie, and Houston Graham; sister-in-law, Mildred "Bae" Graham; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home. Service will begin at 7 PM with Brother Rex McMurray officiating. Music will be provided by Gary Woods.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery in East Carter's Valley. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.

Terence Dingus, Justin Wright, Jerry Wright, Mark Christian, Rick Bishop and Walter Graham, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Colt Dingus and Jaxon Dingus will be honorary pallbearers.

Louise was a wonderful neighbor and person. She was always so nice to our children when they were growing up. She always had a smile on her face and kind words. Our hearts go out to her family.

I´m thankful for Louise for saving my life as a child.us kids were playing on a bulldozer and I fell off splitting my head open.she came running and stopped the bleeding and got me to the hospital.thank you Louise for being a wonderful person!
