Lyda Booker Obituary

Lyda Booker

January 20, 1934 - August 13, 2025

Lyda "Dude" Booker passed away peacefully Wednesday morning at age 91, leaving behind three daughters. She was preceded in death by her son Wesley and her husband Rass. She was the matriarch of a large family, to whom she taught fun and dysfunction. Dude was a proud member of the Democratic Party, an avid thrifter, a lively mamaw to 8 grandkids, a steady volunteer, and often, an all around trouble maker. If you were ever cussed out by Mamaw Dude at a thrift store, the family would like to extend our apologies... to half of you. The other half probably deserved it; including the lady she threw the vacuum at. There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Goshen Valley cemetery fund, a local food pantry, or your local Democratic Party.
