KINGSPORT - Nancy Pierson Arnold passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, at Wexford House, Kingsport TN, where she had been a resident since 2020. She was born on November 6, 1925, to the late Elbert and Neal Herron Pierson.
Preceding Nancy in death were her husband Everett Ray Arnold; sons, Gerald Ray and Daryell Edward Arnold; and daughter Gwendolyn Diane Sawyer.
She was also preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Neal Herron Pierson; four brothers, Bascom, Kemp, Calvin, and Daught Pierson; five sisters, Hazel Christian, Clara Showalter, Blanche Templeton, Pauline Counts, Jeanette Akers.
Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Baker; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Taylor (Elaine), Eric Arnold, Chip Arnold, Sarah Arnold, Valerie Anthony, Jonathan Sawyer, JR Arnold, and Melissa Arnold; four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the staff at Wexford House and at Amedisys Hospice for their loving care of Nancy.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday, March 6, 2026, in the chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm.
A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Saint Jude Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105; or to First Broad Street United Methodist Church, 100 E Church Circle, Kingsport, TN, 37660.
