Patsy Chapman Obituary

KINGSPORT - Patsy Harkleroad Chapman, 74, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Sunday morning, January 22, 2023 at her home following an extended period of declining health. Patsy has lived in Kingsport for most of her life. She was a graduate of Sullivan High School. Patsy was a beautician until retiring due to health problems. Patsy was a member of Pactolus United Methodist Church.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; son, Chris; brother, David Harkleroad; and brother-in-law, David Chapman.

Survivors include her husband, Dennie Chapman; son, Jeff Chapman and wife Becky; grandchildren, Lindsay and Lauren; siblings, Teresa Burnette and husband Cisco, Sharon Bellamy, Steve Bellamy and wife Rhonda; sisters-in-law, Geraldine and Laverene; brothers-in-law, Alfred, Richard, Paul and Randy; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jason Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
